Consultancy
I provide consultancy services in mineral and energy resource exploration, applied geoscience and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
My services include independent technical reporting and auditing, as well as tailored training courses.
Below are some recent and ongoing projects I have delivered for industry and government agencies.
UAV photogrammetry and 3D modeling
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operator (highest, A1/A3 and STS-EU certification by EASA). Drone-based filming and image acquisition, building of high-resolution 3D models, and geological interpretation. Experience in the Pyrenees, the Aeolian Islands, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean coast.
Fluid inclusions
Petrographic and microthermometric study of fluid inclusions in metamorphic and sedimentary/diagenetic rocks from Europe and the Middle East. Constraining the temperature, pressure, timing and composition of past fluids, for applications in reservoir quality assessments and basin evolution studies.
Thin section characterization
Petrographic characterization of igneous and metamorphic rocks from drill cores and outcrop analogues across Spain. Analyses cover mineral assemblages, textures, microstructures, alteration and deformation features. The results support reservoir assessment, exploration and geological interpretation.
GIS analysis for resource prospectivity
Integration of surface and subsurface data in GIS environments for geo-energy and resource exploration. This includes rock characterization, structural and lithological mapping, spatial analysis and prospectivity mapping, with applications for geothermal energy, natural hydrogen and other georesources.
