Course on electron probe microanalysis (EPMA), covering principles, analytical strategies, and practical aspects of sample preparation, quantification, and instrument optimization, as well as trace element analysis, beam-sensitive materials, automated mineralogy, and mapping. Led by Dr Ioannis Baziotis and Dr John Donovan

Course on AI-driven geoscience tools and global Earth data infrastructures (GeoGPT and DDE), covering capabilities, applications, use cases, and live demonstrations. Led by Dr Mike Stephenson and Dr Xinhua Fan.

Rowan Consulting Inc. – From evaporite basins to diapirs: a premier on salt tectonics [Course, 8 hours]
Course on ancient and active evaporite basins worldwide, salt flow, salt dissolution and intra-salt deformation processes. Led by Dr Mark Rowan.

University of Iceland – Reykjanes peninsula, geothermal spots, and ongoing volcanism [Fieldtrip, 1 day]
Fieldtrip to the Reykjanes peninsula and examination of geothermal sites and volcanic products of the Fagradalsfjall 2021 and 2022 eruptions. Led by Dr Eniko Bali and Dr Guðmundur H. Guðfinnsson.

University of Iceland – Introduction to fluid inclusions and geothermal fluids [Course, 8 hours]
Course on fluid inclusion systematics, phase stability, relationship with ore deposits, and implications for geothermal energy. Led by Dr Robert J. Bodnar.

Course on petrologic processes of the deep Earth’s crust, with emphasis on melting in the lower crust, granitoid magmatism, geochemical differentiation and crustal rheology. Led by Dr Bernardo Cesare and Dr Lukas Baumgartner.

University of Milano-Bicocca – Detrital geochronology and thermochronology [Course, 16 hours]
Course on geochronological methods (zircon U-Pb, mica Ar-Ar, apatite and zircon fission-track and (U-Th)/He, trapped-charge thermochronology) with special emphasis on detrital materials. Led by Dr Igor M. Villa.

Marrakech University – High-Atlas of Marrakech, Morocco [Fieldtrip, 1 day]
Fieldtrip to examine sedimentary, tectonic, and magmatic markers of the Phanerozoic rifting on the N High-Atlas of Morocco. Led by Dr El Hassane Chellai and Dr Mohamed Aquit.

University of Barcelona – Statistics applied to Earth Sciences [Course, 16 hours]
Course on descriptive and inferential statistics, analysis of data matrices, preparation of data for statistical analysis, and the SPSS software suite. Led by Dr Cristina Baeza.

University of Catania / INGV – Etna Volcano and Calabria Crystalline Basement [Fieldtrip, 3 days]
Fieldtrip to examine volcano-tectonic interactions and lava flows of the Etna, and brittle and ductile deformation features at Palmi, Rovaglioso, and Messina. Led by Dr Rosalda Punturo, Dr Gaetano Ortolano, and D. Eugenio Fazzio.

University of Mainz – Microtectonics Masterclass [Course, 80 hours]
Course on the principles of microstructure analysis, deformation phases, foliations and lineations, shear zones, veins and fringes, and metamorphic reactions. Led by Dr Cees Passchier and Dr Virginia Toy.

University of Edinburg – Climate Change: Carbon Capture and Storage [Course, 40 hours]
Introductory course to CCS as a long-term solution for carbon dioxide emission reduction in the context of global energy and climate change. Led by Dr Mathieu Lucquiaud, Dr Mark Wilkinson and Dr Mennat Allah Labib. Online.
